My friend is John Mayer

I wake up every morning early, just to smile to myself that I have a lot of things that I can be thankful of. My fiance will call me every weekend morning just to say “Good morning dear”. We chit chat like we never known each other with laughter, tease and joy, despite the fact that we have known each other for nearly 6 years. My fiance and I planned to get married on this upcoming January 2008. My heart are pounding with excitement, can’t wait for another phase of my life.
On the weekdays, I work as an engineer for Panasonic Home Appliance-Air Cond. Research & Development (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. I am just spending my time doing great things in my lab doing Air Cond R & D, which is confidential. I cannot tell you the details on my research, ok I can but then I have to kill you. Then I will get back late at night adopting the Japanese working discipline, when get back early indicating incompetence and low working attitude. Honestly, I am a person who just enjoying my time here doing what I love, and the pay is good too.
Ever wondered why people hate their job? Or do you feel that your job is sucking your life-force, preventing you to enjoy your life doing great things that you have ever wanted?
I have a friend who works as an artist. But he never love his job.
Why?
He gave me hints. The only thing that he ever wanted to do is playing guitar, singing and enjoying his time. When he was nobody, only his friends whom enjoyed his music. He was having a lot of free time working as a pizza guy at a pizza parlour. Then he will go home enjoying his carefree life.
All of these gone when he jumped in to the bandwagon of mainstream entertainment.
He told me, his time had been ripped off from himself. No time for his friends, no time be happy by himself. All these while that I saw him performing on stage is only because of his manager wanted him to do it. Now he’s tied with contracts, schedules, tours and all.
Dude, what is happening? If I were him, I will be thankful of being rich just playing music and be a celebrity.
Ladies and guys, this is the fact. Enjoy your job, enjoy your life and be thankful of all the things that we’ve got. I have been taught that if we are thankful, what we are getting will be add up to what we have been thankful of.
I believe that lucky is never exist. I am not a bright student when I was studying Mechanical Engineering in University of Malaya, KL. I just enjoy my time loving my subjects and do my research, and suddenly this love lead the path of success.
I love to do what I am doing, my next station is to begin my Ph.D of Mechanical Engineering research at University of New South Wales, Australia next March 2008.
Live with love folks!!!

That’s how it should be man. The best writing, I believe comes when you’re writing naturally. Surely you have to use your head when you’re writing, but I think good pieces will only happen when we use our heart more than our head.
Goodluck with bloggin! This is definitely a better platform than friendster’s blog.
